Visitor FAQ's

What does a typical
worship service look like?

At 9:00 and 10:30 am, we begin worship by singing songs of praise to God led by a band, consisting of several vocalists, guitars, drums, and keyboards.  Within the service, there is a special time when we commune with Jesus by sharing the bread, his body, and the cup, his blood.  This is done weekly and is a time to remember the sacrifice for our sin that Jesus paid for us. We also hear a practical Biblical message to apply to our lives that week and are challenged to take next steps in our faith journey. Worship services are just over one hour in length.

What should I wear
to the worship service?

Casual dress is the norm. Don’t make any special arrangements, we want you to come just as you are. Some come in jeans, some come in suit and tie. Wear what makes you comfortable. We want you more focused in on what's going on with you "on the inside" rather than what you are wearing "on the outside".

Should I bring a Bible
when I come on Sunday?

We are people of God's Word! So we do encourage you to bring your Bible every weekend. That Bible can be on your device or it can be a good old print copy. Familiarizing yourself with God's Word will encourage you to be in it on a daily basis. If you don't have access to a Bible, most scriptures used during the worship service are on the screens for you to follow along.

What does FCC have
for kids and teens?

Our children and student programs are some of the best. During both worship services, we provide a nursery for your little ones. During the 9:00am service FCCkids provides age appropriate small groups for all elementary and FCCstudents provides small group for middle school and high school students. During the 10:30am service FCCkids provides age appropriate small groups for all elementary. The middle schoolers and high schoolers attend worship with their families.

Will my kids
be safe?

FCCkids has a secure child check-in system to ensure your child’s safety and well being – and your peace of mind. Just head to the check-in area and our volunteers will help register your kids, receive your child pick up labels, and get them to their appropriate classes.

What is that plate being
passed down the aisle?

That plate is how we receive monetary gifts for the ongoing support of the ministry that happens from all of our ministry teams. As a guest, please feel no obligation to give but if you would like to then go ahead. One of the things that grows out of a daily relationship with Jesus is a heart to give generously. People who are on such a journey with Jesus are faithful to give to the ministry and work of Fortville Christian Church. Many have partnered with us in accomplishing God’s work here in Fortville and beyond!
